164 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 2, Mr. McNeal presented the petition of citizens of Talbot county against the repeal of the Registry law; Which was read and referred to the committee on Elections. Mr. Ohr submitted the following order: Ordered, That after the reception of Admiral Porter and Staff, the Senate bike a recess until 4 1/2 P. M.; On motion of Mr. Earle, The hour was changed to 7 1/2, P. M., and, The order as amended was then adopted. On motion of Mr. Ohr, It was ordered that the Senate take a recess from 15 min- utes before 12 o'clock, to 12 o'clock. Mr. Whitney, from the committee on Printing; submitted the following REPORT: The Senate and House Committees on Printing respectfully report that they have contracted with Henry M. Murray, to index the Laws passed by the present session of tho General Assembly, for the sum of two hundred dollars. JOS. C. WHITNEY, Chairman Senate. Committee. JAMES VALLIANT, Chairman House Committee. Which was read. and adopted. Mr. Frazier, from the committee on Corporations, to which was referred the bill to incorporate the Dorchester and Dela- ware Railroad company; Reported it with an amendment; Which was read and adopted, and the bill was read the second, time. Also reported a bill entitled, an Act amending the Act of January, 1853, chapter 174, incorporating the Springfield Mining Company; Which was read the first time. Mr. Clarke, from the committee on Judicial Proceedings reported a bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 177, of article 93, of General Law, entitled "Testamentary Law," and to re-enact tile same with amendments; Which was read the first time. |
