Officers of Registration of your district, or did you make any effort, to be registered if yea state what you did and with what result? A. The first time I went the registers did not sit in the afternoon having adjourned to make room for some meeting in the Court-House, and I didn't get to see them, the second time I went, I was told it was the last of their published days for meeting, but they were not there, and I heard that one was sick and another had broken his collar bone I went to the Court-House, their place of meeting but they were not there, went again on the day I understood they would sit to make up for the days they lost, but did not find them. |
