Parker, a witness produced on behalf of the Claimant, being duly sworn, answers and says : To the first interrogatory : A. Ten years; been a voter nine years; resided in 1865 in Salisbury district, No. 9. 2d. A. Did apply , was confronted with no witnesses; was no- tified of no charge; took the oath; answered all the ques- tions; I was never summoned to appear; they had promised to allow me to appear in case any charge was brought, against me; they appeared not to be satisfied entirely with my own evidence, and I told them to have men summoned to testify concerning the matter, and the promised to do so, but |
