83 Did you feel or express any regret at the fall of Fort Sumter? j; A. No, sir. Did you rejoice at the capture of Vicksburg? A. I did not. Did you ever feel or express any regret at any defeat of the Federal armies? A. I did not, more than the lives that were lost. Did you ever rejoice at. any triumph of the Federal armies over the Confederate armies ? A.. I did not. The above has been read to me and is correct. THOS. W. KELLY. Attested and written by H.
