1866.] OF THE SENATE. 143 On motion of Mr. Lansdale, The Senate was called, and the Sergeant sent to inform the absent Senators that their attendance was required in the Senate Chamber. On motion of Mr. Tome, The Senate proceeded with the ordinary business in the ab- sence of the Sergeant. On motion of Mr. Lansdale, The Senate adjourned. WEDNESDAY, Jan. 31st, 7 1/2 P. M, The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the following bills: A bill to incorporate a company to make a turnpike road from the Baltimore and Yorktown Turnpike to My Lady's Manor, in Baltimore county; A bill to incorporate the Havre Iron company; A bill to incorporate the Maryland Land and Emigra- tion company; A bill to incorporate the Maidens Choice Passenger Rail- way company with power to construct a gravel road for gen- eral travel on the bed of said road; A bill to incorporate the Dorchester and Delaware Rail- road company, and to direct the payment to the said compa- ny of the sum of money pledged by the Act passed at Janua- ry session 1860, chapter 303, to works of internal improve- ment in Dorchester county; Which were severally read the first time and referred to the committee on Corporations.
