We all took the oath of office together in the court-house
in Princess Anne.

A. I was, sir.

A. I think he was. He was in the office more than once.
6th:
A. No, sir; not that I ever heard of.
7th:
A. I don't recollect the-precise words that Mr. Wright
said; there were some words, but I don't recollect them.

A. I have answered that question; I don't know what
was the language made use of now.
9th:
A. I don't know our language now; I can't recollect; we
had some talk, but I don't know what it was.
10th:
A. Not that I know of. It might have been so and it
might not have been. I don't know what the conversation
was. I did not charge my mind with it, and I don't know
that it had any reference to the conversation in the house.

A. I just answered that question. I don't recollect all. I
did not charge my mind with such.

A. I heard no such conversation.

A. No, sir; I think not.

A. No, sir; there is one word left out; we administered
the oath of allegiance and administered the following form
with it which says, " You will answer all such questions as
' shall be propounded to you, touching your right to registra-
tion and voting."

A. The first two days I think we did not, but after that
we did.

A. I think there was one or two through mistake; the
