STATE or MARYLAND, Somerset County, tn-wit:
We, the undersigned, duly appointed by the Commission-
ers of said County, in due form of Law, Judges of Election in
District No. Five, (in hereby certify and return that we attended
on the 7th day of November, eighteen hundred and sixty-five,
Princess Anne, the place appointed by law for holding the Elec-
tion within said District, and did then and (here appoint Wm. H.
Brown and John W. Potts, Clerks of the Election, who severally
qualified ;is directed by law we further certify, that we did then
and there, before Edward F. Duer, a Justice of the Peace of said
County, qualify as Judges of the Election as by law directed,
and did then and there, at the hour of nine o'clock in the morn-
ing, open the polls for an election for one person as Judge of the
Circuit Court, one person for Sheriff, three persons for County
Commissioners, and one person for Surveyor; and we being of
