Mr. Earle submitted the following orders : Ordered, That a committee of —— be appointed to inves- tigate and inquire into the mutilation of the Journal of this Body, and the abstraction, omission or suppression of a por- tion of its proceedings on Friday (26th January), which should have appeared on the Journal, but which are not to be found there; Ordered, That this Committee have power to send for per- sons and papers, to examine witnesses on oath, and shall re- port their proceedings to the Senate ; Which was read. The question upon its adoption was determined in the negative.by yeas and nays as follow
Mr. Billingslea, of Carroll, submitted the following order: Ordered, That the Senate hold two sessions daily, com- mencing at 11 o'clock A. M. and 7| P. M. ; Determined, in the affirmative by yeas and naya as follow :
