Mr. Ohr submitted joint resolutions for indexing the laws from 1846 to 1866 ; Which were read the first time. Mr. Eaton submitted the following message : BY THE SENATE, January 29,1866. Gentlemen of the House of Delegates: We respectfully request your Honorable Body to return to the Senate, the joint resolutions relating to the assistant pro- vost marshal of Baltimore city. By order, C. HARWOOD, Secretary. Which was read, assented to and sent to the House of De- legates. Mr. Eaton, from the Select committee, reported a bill, en- titled, an Act providing for the appointment of commission- ers to revive the laws of the State relating to the former sta- tus of the colored population ; Which was read the first time, On motion of Mr. Vickers, Ordered, That when the Senate adjourns, it adjourn to- meet at half-past four o'clock, P. M., and at that session confine itself to the consideration of local and private bills. The. Senate adjourned. |
