The said bill was then sent to the Senate.
Mr. Rider presented a petition from Noah Webster and 300
other citizens of Somerset county, for the repeal or modifica-
tion of the registry law;
Which was read and referred to the committee on. Registra-
tion.
Mr, Miller, of Anne Arundel, presented a memorial from
179 citizens of Baltimore praying a repeal or modification of
the registry law;
Winch was read. and. referred to the committee on Regis-
tration.
Mr. Warner presented a petition from J. T.Ducker, John
F. Moale and 64 other citizens of Baltimore county praying
the repeal or modification of the registry law;
Which was read and referred to the committee on Regis-
tration.
On motion of Mr. Smith, of Dorchester,
Ordered.. That it be entered on the Journal that if Mr.
Smith, of Dorchester, had been in his seat when. the resolu-
tions were submitted by Mr. Speaker, Frazier, endorsing the
.restoration policy of President Johnson, he would have voted
for those resolutions.
Mr. Soper, from the committee on Ways and Means, to
which was referred the bill entitled, an Act to repeal section
412, of Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled,
"Hay and Straw," reported .said bill unfavorably.
On motion of Mr. Soper,
The enacting clause of the bill was stricken out.
