Mr. Norris presented a petition of 52 citizens of Carroll
county asking the repeal or. modification of the Registry
Law.
Mr. Shaw presented a petition of 51 citizens of Carroll
county praying the repeal or modification of the Registry
law.
Mr. King presented a petition, of sundry citizens of Har-
ford county against the repeal of the Registry law;
Mr. Mittag presented a petition from 138 citizens of Wash-
ington county in favor of a repeal of the. Registry Law;
Which were severally read and referred to the committee
on Registration.
On motion of Mr. Lusby,
Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal if D. K. Lus-
by and John Barron had. been in the House last evening
when the vote was taken on the contested election of J. R.
Franklin, they would have voted for the majority report.
On motion of Mr. McCauley,
WHEREAS, the Act of January session, 1864, requires the
Clerks of the two House, of the General Assembly to furn-
ish certified copies of the laws passed at each session; to
the Mayor of Baltimore and the County Commissioners of
the several counties; and whereas, no compensation is pro-
vided in this Act for this arduous duty added to the al-
ready onerous labors of the chief officers; therefore,.
Ordered, That the chairman of the committee on Claims,
he and he is hereby directed to issue his certificate in favor of
Wm. R. Cole, for the sum of three hundred dollars as com-
pensation for the said extra services.
On motion of Mr. Mules,
Ordered, That the committee of the House "be directed, to
act with the Senate committee on the Harbor of Baltimore
and Air Line Railroad..
The bill entitled, an Act supplementary to the Act linking
appropriations lor the support of the Government lor the
year ending January 1st, 1867;
Was read the third time, and by general consent amended,
and passed by yeas and nays as follow:
