Mr. McCauley submitted the following message:
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
February 7th, 1866.
Gentlemen of the Senate:
We propose, your Honorable Body concurring, to adjourn
this Session of the General Assembly of Maryland, on Fri-
day, the 9th inst., at 12 o'clock, noon,
Which was read;
Pending the consideration of the subject,
The House adjourned.
THURSDAY, February 8th, 1866.
The House met, and was opened with prayer by the Rev.
Mr. Hammond.
Present at the call of the roll the following members:
Messrs. Frazier, Speaker, Agnew, Angel, Brown, Buhr-
man, Cairns, Clift, Comegys, Cronise, Darling, Dean, Eavey,
Everhart, Fooks, Fawcett, Garrison, Hambleton, Harris,
Hodson, Hodson, Hoffman, Hopkins, Hynes, Jamison, Jones,
Keefer, King, Kirk, Leaverton, Lee, Lusby, Malone; McCau-
ley, Markey, McCullough, Miller, of Wash., Mittag, Mules,
Name, Norris, Pennington, Pilkington, Poteet, Rider, Rine-
hart, Roberts, Robinson, Shaw, Slierry, Silver, Slothower,
Smith, of Alleg'y, Smith, of Dorch'r, Smith, of Fred'k, So-
per, Tolson, .Tull, Usilton, Valliant, Warner, Williams,
Willis, Wooden, Zeigler—62.
The Journal of yesterday was read and approved.
Mr. Smith, of Allegany, presented a petition of 65 voters
of the western part of Allegany county against a repeal of
the Registry Law.
