Justices of Somerset County in Court setting C The humble Petion of John: Bennett who married wth Sarah: ffurnis daughter to William: ffurnish deceased humbly sheweth that by marrige your Petioner having his Wives part of the Estate belonging to him in the hands of John: Strawbridge,who marryed with Honor ffurnis, Widdow - unto William ffurnis deceased, your Petioner Craves your Worships Order that he may have what is belonging unto him of his part and your petioner in duty bound shall pray. And whereupon the same Jury above brought in this following presentment - viz Wee the Jurors doe present the with in John: Strawbridge, for not paying the within John: Bennetts Wives portion of her ffathers Estate - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - To the Worll. Justices of Somersett County now in Court sitting The humble petion of Stephen Costin humbly sheweth that your peteioner marryed with Comfort ffurnis, daughter unto William: ffurnis deceased humbly craves your worships Order for his part that belongeth unto him out of the estate of his ffather in Law. deceased and your petioner in duty bound shall pray To the Worll. Justices of Somerset County now in Court sitting, the humble petion of Katherine ffurnis humbly sheweth that your petioner hath been of age ever since last August past, your petioner Craves that she may have wt belongeth unto her out of her ffathers estate so that she may have the benifitt thereof and your petioner in duty bound shall pray And whereupon the aforesd Jury brought in to Court this following presentment (viz) Wee the Jurors do find the above petioner presentable. William: Coulborne. foreman To the Worll Justices of Somerset County now in Court sitting ~ The humble Petion of Honor:Strawbridge humbly sheweth humbly sheweth that your Petioner was left a Widdow by Wm: ffurniss and Severall Small Children left ffatherless which had a small estate left them which is(every) day wasting so that I nor the Children shall be never the better for it wherefore ye humble Petioner, Craves the favour of your Worps yt yr Petioner may have the liberty to make choice of Guardians for the good of her Children also that the Guardnors may have ye Childrens Estate delivered into their Custody so that it may be preserved for them against that they by Gods asistance doe come to age, & yr Petioner in duty bound shall pray Upon ye backs of the Petion was writ (viz) Wee of the Jury doe find the within Petion presentable.
