Capt. John: Winder Mr. Edmund: Howard
Mr. James: Rounds Mr. Thomas: Jones
Their Maties Court being called. This following Petition was prferred by the Petioner. - - - - -
To the Worll. their Maties Comrs for Somerset County The humble Petition of Lawrence Young Sheweth
That whereas your Petioner. past a Bond for his good behaviour to this Worll. Court dureing your
Worships pleasure your petioner humbly beggs to be released of the said Bond and your Petioner
shall pray C Whereupon the Court having considered the premises, Ordered that the said Bond
of good behaviour should still be continued. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -


To the Worshipfull Court of Somerset County .
Your Petioner humbly sheweth that Whereas Ann Smith deceased did in her last Will and Testament Will and
bequeath unto Richard Hill and Martha his Wife one third part of a Boat which the deceased Willed to be equally
divided Betwixt Samuel: Shewall, Elizabeth Smith and your Petioner, my part contrary to the Will of the deceased
Mr. John: Vigorous Administrator. doth now unjustly detaine from your Petioner as also the deceased left her Cart
and
one horse named Black button marked with a figure of three and an H on the further buttock, betwixt Elizabeth
and
your Petioner to be for the use of the Plantation which he improveth for his own propper use As also the deceased
left by Will twelve hides and four skins which are to be tanned and dressed by William Richardson to be equally
devided
between Samuel: Sewall, John: Vigorus, Samuel: Innis, Elizabeth Smith and your Petioner which the aforesaid
Vigorous
detains from your Petioner, as also what worke John: Bowen oweth to the deceased which was to the value of six
hundred
pounds of tobacco equally to be devided, amongst the above named five persons as also a parcell of hemp, your
Petioners part whereof the said Vigorus doth now unjustly detain as also one gunn. I being thus wronged by
him leaves it to your Worships Considerations and wisdoms to ad--ck- Order and determine according to Law
and yr
Petioner as ever bound shall pray &c - - - - Richard: Hill his mark. R:H.
The above said Petion being read - - - But no result or Order past


The humble Petition of James Givan.
To their Maties Justices of the Peace now Sitting in Court. humbly Sheweth to your Worships that their was an
Order
past last June Court that Thomas: Witherhead who being Sick and infirm, should dwell and abide with ye
Petioner, the petioner being bound by said Order to maintain said Witherhead and so to keep the County harmless
now So it is that said Witherhead is in perfect health of body, and doth utterly refuse to dwell any longer with
the Petioner and Stayed not with the petioner. above fifteen dayes after said Order past may it therefore
please your Worships to reverse said Order and your petioner as bound in duty shall pray &c.
The above said Petion being read - - But no result or Order past.



To the Worhipfull Comrs of Somersett County, the humble Petion of Margery Clark - - - - -
Humbly Sheweth that whereas your Petioner hath Served Capt. Winder three years and he the said Winder hath
Sold your Petioner to Nicholas Tyler for three year more, your petioner haved served five years to the Custom
of the Country not having any indenture nor judged at Court, your petioner humbly craveth Order of this
Worshipfull Court for her freedom and Corne and Clothes according to law in Such provided and your Petioner
as in duty bound shall pray. Margery Clarke. upon which petion being Read.
It was Ordered that Nicholas Tyler appear next Court to answer unto Margery Clarke.

Memorandum that this day to witt the first day of December Ano. Dom. 1689. Nicholas Taylor appointed to be
Constable of
Wiccomicoe hundred came before me and declared that he was willing to Ofitiate in the Office of a Constable but
desired that the Oath might be suspended untill January next Court, Wittness my hand Stephen: Lufft
