Att a Court held by their Majesties Justices of the Peace for the County of Somersett in
the Province of Maryland the ninth day of September in the second year of their
Maties Reign Wm & Mary King & Queene Over England &c. Anno Domii 1690 - - - -

Comissioners present Mr. Francis: Jenkins. Mr. James Round. Mr. James:
Dasheels Mr. Samuel: Hopkins. Mr. Thomas: Jones.



Betty a Nigro Servant to Daniel: Selby was brought into Court to be judged
what her age might be which after a full view had this Court judes her twelve yrs old.

Mr. Farewell. by his Attorney mr. James: Sangster humbly Craves leave of this Court to
amend a Declaration allready filed agt. Walter Lodge which was granted. - - -

Ordered by this Court that all Petitions for Evidences attendance, being Sworne to
before one Justice of the Coram. or two other Justices out of Court, Or Sworne to
before One Justice in Court, be Suffitient Order. for sd attendance - - - - - -

Persons fined for coming within Barr of Court not being called, were Peter: Whaples.
Roger Burkham, James: Smith. Daniel:Dunnahoe. Thomas: Tull. John: ffreeman
and John: Bishop. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ordered that the Constable of Mony hundred, take the taxable Inhabitants of the
divels Island into his list of tytheables. it being Ordered into his Precincts. - - -

Order mr. James. Round and John: Smock, to Appraise the Estate of Samuel: Innis
of this County decd. Order. mr. Samuel: Hopkins swear the sd Appraisers - - - -

Order John: Henderson Overseer of the highwayes, in stead and place of mr Jam. Sangster

Order that each Respective Overseer of their Maties high wayes do forthwith
cause their Inhabitants in their precincts to amend the sd high wayes & Bridges.

Somerset County Ssc. Moses ffainton of this County maketh Oath that he this Deponant
attended as a wittness in a Cause depending between Walter:Machenrick plt and William
Tisdale and Rich: ffarewell Defendts. fourteen dayes for which he also prayes an Order
this 3d. day of September 1690. this being 3 Courts attendance. Moses: ffainten
Sworne before us Thomas: Jones
ditto ffainton sworn for defents. George. Layfield Order for the same.

September ye 2d. 1690. Archibald: Holmes: Cooper made Oath before me that he attended the
Court
of Somerset County twenty four dayes in a suit depending between John: Loader and Rich: Hill.

Sworne upon the holy Evangelist to twenty four dayes attendance Geor: Layfield
in the sd Suit between Loder and Hill - before me - - - - - - - - - ffra: Jenckins
sworne for Hill. as saith Holmes.
