Scarbrough Who being returned do bring in this following verdict viz. The Jurors find for the Plt. given in by John. Bosman. forem. Indmt. Ordrd to be ented upon ye verdict --- The Origll Coppies of the three last papers sent to mr Hopkins according to his Order. Wm Richardson sworne for defdt: John Carey. Enters his appearance being bound to his good behaviour Michael Lynch being given in a Tytheable and charged to mr Henry Lynch=s accompt, the sd Michael being going out of the Country, it was Ordered by the Court at request of mr Henry Lynch that the sd Michael: be taken out of the list, another non resident being put in his room ------ Bry: Osner Order that the Sheriffe take into Custody residents till they give security for Subsequent Taxes Order, that the sheriffe and Clerk certifie all errors in the lists of tythables, & sum up ye totall- Somerset County Ssc. To their Maties Justices for Somerset County The Petion of James: Hardy. Humbly sheweth that whereas ffrancis: Morris, daughter to Jenkin Morris late deceased, was by Ordr of your worships bound an Apprentice to William: Wheatley, but the sd Wheatley having absented himselfe out of the said County and left the said Child to your said Petioner where she hath remained nine months or upwards, your Petioner humbly Craves that the sd Child may be Ordered by your Worships. to be bound according to the tenour of Law. And yr Petioner as in duty bound shall ever pray The Court having Considered the foregoing Petion, do Order. that the above sd ffrances Morris do continue with the sd Hardy, till the sd Wheatley shew Cause to the Cont to y Court Order. Henry: Hayman being bound to his good behaviour, desires his appearance may be entered Mr. Thomas. Newbold. Plt. Somerset County Ssc. Thomas Cale of this County was Sumoned agt to answer unto Thomas: Newbold of the same County Gent in A Thomas: Cale Deft plea of debt - - - - - - - And whereupon the plt by James Sangster his Attorney Comes and sayes that the sd defendt (is) and stands indebted unto the plt in the full and just Sum of Thirty Cutts of good Cypress = timber each cutt conteining eight quarters to make ten good covering boards of eight inches broad and three quarters of Inch thick. to be paid upon demand and delivered at the plts owne Landing on Pocomoke River, as doth and may appear under the hand and Seal of the sd deft and is here in Court produced bearing date the tenth day of october 1689. which sd sum or quantity of Cutts the sd defendt fraudulently and craftily intending to deceive the plt hath hitherto denyed and yett doth deny to the plts great loss and damage to the value of 60 Cutts of the like Cypresse Timber, and hereupon bring this Suit Sangster pr Quer C pled. deprois [ Jno: Doe Rich Roe.
