(128) 1690 } Memorandum that this day to witt the 6th. day of March 1689/90 Mr John: King Came before me and made Oath upon the holy Evangelist that the accot Sent by him to the Clarke charged upon William Aylward late of this County Clk. is a just and true accot. Sworne before me. Robt: King Here followeth the accompt above mentioned. Sento the Clk. - - - - - - - - - June the 3. day. 1688. Mr. William Aylward Dr. - - - - For accomodations att my house. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 400 to 39a. pounds of Bacon at. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 200 to one paire of leather hoples. at - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 025 to one paire of shoos at - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 065 to one paire of plush slippers at - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 070 to one paire of slippers made at my house at. - - - - - - - - - - 065 825 John: King The first and second Writt being by the sheriffe returned Non est inventus, Decla: Read and the accompt proved // Attachmt. therefore is Ordered according to Act. --- Robert: Houstone: Plt Somerset County Ss // Jacob: Pereen of this County was Sumoned agt. to answer unto Robert: Houston of ye same County in accon upon ye Case Jacob: Pereen. Deft And whereupon the plt by his Attorney James: Sangster Comes and sayes, that the sd defendt became indebted unto the plt in the full and just sum of four pound Sterling money, which sd sum the sd defdt did faithfully assume to pay in money or goods to the value of the sd money whereupon the sd deft in Order to the payment of the sd Sum hath paid the plt the sum of three pound six shillings and nine pence2d. So that there rests due to the plt thirteen shillings two pence 2d as the ballance of accot which sd accompt is here in Court produced, but the defendt fraudulently & craftily intending he to deceive the plt of the foresd some doth deny to pay the same. The plt sayes he is damnified and hath loss to the value of One pound six shillings and five pence like money and hereupon brings his Suite Sangster prQur. ple de psoix, John: Doe Rich: Roe And the defendt by his Attorney John.
