the bill, entitled, An act to correct a misnomer in an
act, entitled, An act concerning the bank stock, thus endorsed; " By the

And the bill, entitled, An act to authorise and empower the vestry of William
and Mary parish, in
Charles county, to sell and dispose of the negroes belonging to said parish,
and for other purposes,

The resolution in favour of George Wallace was read
the second time by especial order and assented
to.
The bill, entitled, An act to erect Baltimore-town,
in Baltimore county, into a city, and to incorporate
the inhabitants thereof, was read the second time and will pass with the
proposed amendments.
Amendments proposed. In the 4th line of the 3d
page, after the word "appointment" insert
" and assessed on the books of the assessors to the amount of one thousand
dollars." In the 2d line
from the bottom of the 4th page, in the interlineation, after the word
"and" insert "of the." In
the 5th line from the bottom of the 5th page, after the word "of" insert
the word "the." In the
interlineation of the same line, after the word "and" insert " of the."
In the 6th line of clause A
strike out the words " an inhabitant of the ward for which he shall be
chosen," and insert " assessed
on the books of the assessors to the amount of two thousand dollars."
In the 9th line of the 6th
page strike out from the word "up" to the word "by" in the 10th line.
Strike out the proviso
contained between the 4th and 5th lines from the bottom of the 11th page.
In the 8th line of the
14th page strike out the words " appeal or."
The following message was prepared, read and agreed
to, and sent to the house of delegates by
the clerk.

GENTLEMEN,
WE find it difficult, from the late stage of the session,
to finish the business now before us by the
time agreed on for rising; we have therefore determined not to act upon
any new business which you
may send up to us after twelve o'clock to-morrow.

and securing and transcribing certain records
and papers, in Baltimore county, and rebuilding two bridges over Jones's
Falls, in Baltimore-town,

the bill, entitled,
An act to record Peters, Deakins, Beatty and Threlkeld's addition to George-town,
in Montgomery
county, a bill, entitled, An act authorising commissioners to survey, mark
and bound, certain
streets in Beatty and Hawkins addition to George-town, in Montgomery county,
and for other
purposes therein mentioned, the bill, entitled, An act for building
a record-office, and securing and
transcribing certain records and papers, in Baltimore county, and rebuilding
