3412 CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION OF MARYLAND [Jan. 8]

the rule that there is to be a comma after
each part of the series but not at the end
of the entire series. You would not sep-
arate the series from the verb. Is that
right, Delegate Penniman? The comma is
not intended to make the other expression
parenthetical.

The question arises on the adoption of
Amendment No. 25 to Report S&D-18. A
vote Aye is a vote in favor of the amend-
ment. A vote No is a vote against.

THE PRESIDENT: Has every delegate
voted? Does any delegate desire to change
his vote?

(T fiere was no response.)
The Clerk will record the vote.

There being 103 votes in the affirmative
and none in the negative, the motion
carries. The amendment is adopted.
