discussion of that matter.
I have been informed already by a ma-
jority of my committee that depending
upon what is accomplished this evening, I
will then be instructed whether to call the
Committee together again tomorrow or
early Monday morning.
THE PRESIDENT: Delegate Moser?
DELEGATE MOSER: Mr. President,
the Committee on Local Government will
meet again at 12:30 P.M. on Monday. The
subject for deliberation at that time will
be multi-county units of government,
county boundaries, and we will return once
again to municipalities and the interrela-
tionship of municipalities to counties and
to the state.
THE PRESIDENT: Delegate Morgan?
DELEGATE MORGAN: Mr. President,
the Committee on the Executive Branch
will meet immediately after the session on
Monday to consider and dispose of the issue
of the governor's appointive power, the re-
organization authority and the veto power
of the governor.
Beginning on Tuesday morning at 9:30
A.M., we will dispose of some of the big is-
sues before our committee, namely, whether
we shall have an appointed or elected at-
torney general, whether the comptroller
shall be appointed or elected, whether the
board of public works shall be continued
as a constitutional office, and what to do
about the state treasurer.
THE PRESIDENT: Delegate Penni-
man?
DELEGATE PENNIMAN: Mr. Presi-
dent, the Committee on Style will meet at
2:00 P.M. on Monday.
THE PRESIDENT: Delegate Koss?
DELEGATE KOSS: Mr. President, the
Committee on Suffrage and Elections will
meet at 11:30 A.M. on Monday.
THE PRESIDENT: Delegate Galla-
gher?
DELEGATE GALLAGHER: Mr. Presi-
dent, the Committee on the Legislative
Branch will meet at 2:00 P.M. on Monday
afternoon, and night meetings next week
will be on Tuesday and Thursday evenings
at 7:45 P.M.
THE PRESIDENT: Are there any other
announcements by committee chairmen?
Delegate Boyer?
DELEGATE BOYER: Mr. President,
your Committee on General Provisions has
virtually completed hearings on all matters
referred to us; beginning the first part of
the week we will commence deliberations
and discussions so that we can hopefully
report out to the Convention our first rec-
ommendation the latter part of next week.
Thank you, sir.
THE PRESIDENT: Delegate Sherbow?
DELEGATE SHERBOW: Mr. Presi-
dent, the Committee on State Finance and
Taxation has practically concluded the
hearings on the various proposals, and we
are debating those that are now before
us. We will continue doing so until we
make our reports to the Convention.
THE PRESIDENT: Delegate Scanlan?
DELEGATE SCANLAN: Mr. President,
the Rules Committee will meet at 3:00 P.M.
on Monday.
THE PRESIDENT: Are there any other
announcements by committee chairmen?

(There was no response.)
THE PRESIDENT: Are there any dele-
gates present now who were not present at
roll call who desire to indicate their pres-
ence?
DELEGATE LINTON: Mr. President,
I would like to record my presence.
THE PRESIDENT: Are there any other
delegates present now, who were absent
during roll call, who desire to record their
presence? If not, the Chair recognizes Dele-
gate Powers, Chairman of the Committee
on Calendar and Agenda.
DELEGATE POWERS: Mr. President,
I am happy to announce that on Sunday
Delegate Marvin I. Singer will be cele-
brating a birthday. I am told he will then
be a very old thirty-five. I move we adjourn
until 4:00 P.M. Monday.
THE PRESIDENT: All those in favor,
signify by saying Aye; contrary, No. The
Ayes have it. It is so ordered.
(Whereupon, at 2:17 P.M., the Conven-
tion adjourned to reconvene at 4 :00 P.M.
on Monday, October 23, 1967.)
