THE PRESIDENT: Are there any other

Delegate Mudd?
DELEGATE MUDD: Mr. President, the
next meeting of the Committee on the Ju-
dicial Branch will be at the Shaw House,
Baltimore City delegation room this eve-
ning. It had been advertised and noted on
our calendar as 7:30 P.M. but it also had
been advertised for 7:00 P.M. I can assure
all parties interested that my committee
will be there at 7:00 P.M. and remain un-
til we hear all of those who are interested
in being heard. Among those who have
asked to be heard are Mr. Thomas N. Clif-
ford, who wishes to speak in behalf of the
SOS (Save Our State) proposed Constitu-
tion. The Committee on the Judicial Branch
will have a meeting again tomorrow morn-
ing at 10:00 A.M., at which time we will
begin our deliberations and consideration
of the proposals regarding the tax court,
juvenile court, court of claims, and also the
orphans court, and hopefully reach the
determination promptly as to whether these
courts are to be given constitutional
stature.
There will be no meeting of the Judicial
Branch Committee tomorrow afternoon in
deference to the boat ride. Thank you, sir.
THE PRESIDENT: Delegate Morgan:
DELEGATE MORGAN: Mr. President,
the Committee on the Executive Branch
will meet immediately following adjourn-
ment of this session to hear from State
Senator John Steffey. Tomorrow, we will
have a joint meeting with the Committee
on the Legislative Branch to go over some
of the matters of joint concern to the two
Committees.
THE PRESIDENT: Delegate Moser?
DELEGATE MOSER: Mr. President,
the Committee on Local Government will
next meet at 9:00 A.M. tomorrow. We are
in the process of discussing and arriving
at tentative conclusions on various subjects,
and the subjects for tomorrow will include
units of county government and municipal
corporations, creation, change, dissolution,
et cetera, which will be the first item of
business as marked on our general sched-
ule for Wednesday. Also the question of
local legislation and classification will be
discussed. |
I would like to say, I notice that Delegate
Raley put in certain delegate proposals
today, and I would like to ask him, or at
least notify him that one of the subjects
for discussion tomorrow morning will be
in the areas of the two proposals which he
introduced today.
THE PRESIDENT: Are there any other

Delegate Koss?
DELEGATE KOSS: Mr. President, the
Committee on Suffrage and Elections will
meet tomorrow morning at 10:00 A.M. We
have no meeting scheduled after the ses-
sion tomorrow, but will meet again Wednes-
day at 10:00 A.M. We are trying hard this
week to push ahead, making decisions on
generally the area of referendum.
THE PRESIDENT: Delegate Gallagher?
DELEGATE GALLAGHER: Mr. Presi-
dent, the Committee on Legislative Branch
will meet immediately after the session to
hear from Dr. Winslow, and again tonight
at 7:45 P.M. for a public hearing. Tomor-
row morning at 10, as it has been an-
nounced, we will have a joint meeting with
the Committee on the Executive Branch.
THE PRESIDENT: Delegate Dulany?
DELEGATE DULANY: Mr. President,
the Committee on Public Information will
meet at 1:00 P.M. tomorrow in Room H-18
where we will hear from Delegate Malkus
on Resolution No. 3. The subcommittee of
this committee, chaired by Delegate Hos-
tetter, will meet immediately upon adjourn-
ment today in the lounge.
THE PRESIDENT: Delegate Boyer?
DELEGATE BOYER: Mr. President,
your Committee on General Provisions will
meet immediately after adjournment of
this session to hear from the delegates in
the Convention to whom we have extended
invitations to appear this afternoon. Our
time is scheduled so that we can hear from
you as proponents of your proposals. We
will meet again tomorrow morning at 10:00
A.M. for other scheduled delegates; in de-
ference to the occasion tomorrow afternoon,
we will not meet, but we will again meet
to hear from individual delegates by invi-
tation on Wednesday morning. Thank you.
