Rush's minister.
REVEREND SMITH: The Lord be with
you. Let us pray.
Almighty and eternal God, who art the
Creator of the whole universe and who has
chosen to reveal Himself and His will unto
mankind: we give Thee hearty thanks for
those whom Thou hast called into this spe-
cial service, the complete revision of the
Constitution of this State.
We pray that thou will be pleased to
guide and direct them on this day, that
they may be enabled to think Thy thoughts
after Thee as preparation is made for this
task.
We thank You that Thou hast chosen
that our people should live an atmosphere
of mercy and within the framework of
justice, and to this end these people are
assembled.
We pray Thy blessing to rest on the
whole nation of which we are a part; upon
all those who have been chosen to rule over
us; upon the President and Congress and
Courts of the United States; upon the
governor and legislature and courts of this
State. Grant that they may be given wisdom
from on high to rule with justice and in
equity. Fill us with the wondrous spirit of
peace and comfort, especially at this sea-
son of the year, and hasten the day when
men shall learn to live with brotherly love
as one family, the world over.
In the name of Christ we pray.
Amen.

There being a quorum present, the Con-
vention is in session.

the Chairman of the Committee on Calen-
dar and Agenda.
DELEGATE POWERS: I move that to-
day's Calendar be amended so as to provide
that we may resume consideration of Com-
mittee Recommendation R&P-2, and further
that item A and B be reversed so that
GP-6 will be considered before GP-5.
As so amended, I move the adoption of
the Calendar.
