THE PRESIDENT: If not, we will move on to the

next item on the agenda, which is announcements.

I have some announcements to make, and after I

5

conclude, I will call upon each chairman of the committees

6

to make any announcement he chooses as to committee meet-

7

ings or other matters pertaining to operation of the com-

8

mittees .

The first announcement is to announce formally

10

to the Convention, so that it may be entered upon the

11

Journal, the committee assignments and the appointment

12

of committee chairmen, of which you are all aware, and

13

which each delegate was notified in writing some weeks

14

ago. I have given the Reading Clerk a copy of the assign-

15

ments and will ask him to read the committee assignments

16

at this time.
