a purely personal reference, to tell you that this gavel,
which has been used for the first time today, was made
especially for my use as the President of this Convention
by Samuel Kirk and Son. I would like to read to you the
inscription on the silver band: Presented to H. Vernon Eney
President of the Constitutional Convention of Maryland,
by his wife, September 12, 1967. (Applause.)
My wife, two daughters, and some of my grand-
children are sitting in the aisle.

DELEGATE POWERS: Mr. President, I move we
adjourn until tomorrow, Wednesday, September 13, at 2:00
p.m.
THE PRESIDENT: It has been regularly moved that
