Now, Mr. President, on an entirely different
subject, as we all know, meetings are going on, witnesses
are being heard, and very frankly, I am slowly getting the
feeling that, except in the one substantive committee, of
which I am a member, I am now in a vacuum, and I will be
voting in a vacuum one day, except as to committee reports
Meetings are being held simultaneously, where witnesses
are being heard, so that there is no opportunity, and
rightfully so, I suppose, there is no opportunity to hear
persons who I would very much like to hear. Consequently,
the thought occurs to me that this would be the
appropriate time to ask my fellow City Baltimore City
delegates to consider meeting as a delegation once a day
or once every other day so that we can accomplish two
things: Number one, to give our City officials who are
spending a lot of money on experts, an opportunity to keep
in touch with us as a unit, and to do so easily and to
consider matters which are important to the Baltimore City
proposition; and number two, to give the members of the
delegation an opportunity to exchange views and to exchange
