We have run into a problem that can cause us
|

|
some embarrassment outside by reason of requests to
|
11
|
outside agencies beyond the State for materials being
|
12
|
made directly by committee personnel. In a particular
|
13
|
instance, a request which required a good bit of research
|
14
|
and digging and additional printing by the Government
|
15
|
Printing Office was addressed by personnel of two separate
|
16
|
committees to the two United States senators separately.
|

|
Each spent a great deal of time in obtaining exactly the
|
18
|
same material. They were a little disconcerted to find
|
19
|
they were duplicating the efforts. May we, therefore,
|
20
|
request that all requests for materials from outside
|
21
|
agencies, either State agencies or agencies outside the
|
