house that the Committee on General Provisions is still
considering the important problem of education. As we
indicated before, we have broken this down into four
broad categories, and I am happy to announce that we have
tentatively completed the category of Constitutional
Recognition. We now move into the phase of Public Educa-
tion, when we have blocked out a solid week of hearings.
Hopefully, we can conclude this within the next week.
Tomorrow, the Committee will meet on what we call Board
of Education, and in the morning, we will hear from
the President of the State Board of Education, and the
President of the State Association of Local Boards of
Education. Tomorrow morning, we will hear from presidents
of local boards of education.
The Committee will meet fifteen minutes after
this Convention adjourns today, and again at 10 o'clock
tomorrow morning, sharp. Thank you, sir.
THE PRESIDENT: Delegate Koss?
DELEGATE KOSS: Mr. President, the Committee
on Suffrage and Elections has scheduled the election of
its vice-president Friday morning. |
