the Convention at its opening session on September 12,

1967, a silver mace, intended to serve as a symbol of the
|
|

|
sovereignty of the people of this State, and
|
|

|
WHEREAS, this mace has been placed upon the ros-
|
|
5
|
trum beside the President throughout the Convention for
|
|
6
|
the purpose of showing when the Convention was officially
|
|
7
|
in session, and has served to remind the Convention of the
|
|
8
|
trust reposed in it by the people of Maryland, and source
|
|
9
|
of the responsibility given it.
|
|

|
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the
|
|
11
|
Constitutional Convention of Maryland expresses its appre-
|
|
12
|
ciation to Samuel Kirk and Son, Incorporated, for manu-
|
|
13
|
facturing and presenting to the Convention the mace used
|
|
14
|
as the symbol of the sovereignty of the people of the State
|
|
15
|
of Maryland, and be it further
|
|
16
|
RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be
|
|
17
|
forwarded to Howard T. Brenner, President of Samuel Kirk
|
|
18
|
and Son, Incorporated.
