At the request of the President, two proposals
heretofore referred have been returned to me. The Clerk
will please hand them to me. Delegate Proposal No. 586, here
tofore referred to the Committee on Suffrage and Elections,
has been returned by that committee at my request and I
now re-refer it to the Committee on the Executive Branch.
I might say this was originally referred
to the Committee on Suffrage and Elections because in
a general way it dealt with the same subject as recall
of elected officials, which the Committee on Suffrage
and Elections has had under consideration. That committee
advised it does not intend to report any provisions of
the new Constitution dealing with recall of elected officials
and I have for that reason re-referred the proposal to the
Committee on the Executive Branch.
Delegate Proposal No. 441 has been at my
request returned to me by the Committee on the Judicial |
