Mr. Crisfield, moved to amend said substitute by striking out the
words "and to receive a salary to be fixed by law;"

So the amendment was adopted.
Mr. Howard, moved further to amend said amendment by
adding after the word "years," the following:
"And be removable by a unanimous vote of the court of
Appeals, in which case the Governor shall appoint a time for the
election of a successor;"
Determined in the affirmative.
Mr. Chambers, of Kent, gave notice that on tomorrow, he
should move to reconsider the vote of the Convention on the
report of the committee on Apportionment and Representation.
The question then recurred and was put,
