    The clerk of the house of delegates delivers the engrossed bills number 81 and 84, with the 
paper bills thereof; which engrossed bills were severally thus endorsed; " By the house of delegates
" January 3, 1800:  Read and assented to.
                                                        " By order,                                W.  HARWOOD, clk."
And also the following message:

By the HOUSE of DELEGATES, January 3, 1800.
        GENTLEMEN OF THE SENATE,
    WE shall finish the business of the session before we adjourn this evening, except signing and
sealing the laws, and we propose to meet to-morrow morning at seven o'clock for that purpose.
                                                        By order,                                  W.  HARWOOD, clk.
Which was read.
    The following message was prepared, read, agreed to, and, with the resolution suspending certain
appropriations, and the resolution respecting the treasurer of the western shore, sent to the
house of delegates by the clerk.
By the SENATE, January 3, 1800.
        GENTLEMEN,
    IN answer to your message of this evening, the senate have to observe, that it is with great
inconvenience they have been able to keep a senate to this time; if the other business of the session
is closed, the senate can see no reason why the laws may not be signed and sealed this evening;
they have requested the attendance of the governor for that purpose, and hope that your
house will concur with them in a wish of closing the session, and accommodating those gentlemen
of both houses who must be anxious to return to their respective homes.
                                                        By order,                                  A.  VAN-HORN, clk.
    The paper bills from number 1 to 84, inclusive, except numbers 15, 16, 22, 25, 46, 47, 53,
65, 67, 68, 69, 74, 75,80, 82 and 83, were sent to the house of delegates by the clerk.
    The bill, entitled, An act for the payment of the journal of accounts, was read the second
time by especial order and will pass.
    The journal of accounts was read the second time by especial order, assented to, and, with
the bill next before mentioned, sent to the house of delegates by the clerk.
    The clerk of the house of delegates delivers to the clerk of the senate the following message:
By the HOUSE of DELEGATES, January 3, 1800.
        GENTLEMEN OF THE SENATE,
    IN answer to your message relative to signing and sealing the laws this evening, we shall be
ready to attend your house at half past 9 o'clock; our business is closed, and we wait for such as
may be unfinished in your house, if any.
                                                        By order,                                  W.  HARWOOD, clk.
And returns the paper bills number 15, 22, 25, 46, 47, 53, 65, 67, 68, 69, 74, 75, 80 and 83,
which said bills were thus severally endorsed; " By the house of delegates, January 3, 1800:
" The engrossed bill whereof this is the original read and assented to.
                                                        " By order,                                W.  HARWOOD, clk."
    The clerk of the house of delegates delivers the engrossed bills number 82, 85, 87, 88, 89, 90
and 91, with the paper bills thereof, which engrossed bills were severally thus endorsed; " By
" the house of delegates, January 3, 1800:  Read and assented to.
                                                        " By order,                                W.  HARWOOD, clk."
    The clerk of the house of delegates delivers the engrossed bill number 92, with the paper bill
thereof, which engrossed bill was thus endorsed; " By the house of delegates, January 3, 1800:
" Read and assented to.
                                                        " By order,                                W.  HARWOOD, clk."
    The paper bills number 82, 85, 86, 87,,88, 89, 90, 91 and 92, were sent to the house of delegates
by the clerk.
    His excellency the governor attending in the senate, ORDERED, That Mr. Carroll and Mr.
Dennis wait on the house of delegates, and inform them that his excellency the governor is attending
in the senate room for the purpose of signing and sealing the engrossed bills, and request
their attendance.
    The speaker, attended by the members of the house of delegates, appeared in the senate, and
the following engrossed bills were presented by the speaker to his excellency the governor, who
signed and sealed the same in the presence of both houses.
    No. 1  An act to authorise and empower the levy court of Dorchester county to assess and levy annually a sum
of money for the support of Esther Kenner.

    No. 2.  act to settle and ascertain the salary of the members of the council for the ensuing year.
    No. 3.   An act to authorise and empower the levy court of Dorchester county to assess and levy annually
a sum of money for the support of Philemon Brooke.
    No. 4.  An act for the relief of William Dent Beall, of Montgomery county.
    No. 5.  A Supplement to the act, entitled, An act relating to the public roads in Somerset county.
    No. 6.  An act to empower the levy court of Dorchester county to appoint a constable for the town of Cambridge.

    No. 7.  An act to empower the justices of the levy court of Charles county to assess and levy annually a
sum of money for the purpose therein mentioned.
    No. 8.  An act to authorise and empower the levy court of Montgomery county to assess and levy annually a
sum of money for the support of Ruth Glaze.
    No. 9.  An act to revive and aid the proceedings of the orphans court of Calvert county.
    No. 10.  An act to revive the proceedings of the orphans court of Harford county.
