The following resolutions: under the resolutions of the last general assembly, and agreeably thereto, the acts passed during the present session. RESOLVED, That the printer to the state be and he is hereby directed to have the said laws, when finished, bound in a neat and substantial manner, and as expeditiously as possible, and delivered to the governor and council. RESOLVED, That the governor and council cause the said laws to be distributed and forwarded as follow: To the chancery court, one copy, to the chancellor, one copy, to the court of appeals, one copy, to each judge thereof, one copy, to the general courts, each one copy, to each judge thereof, one copy, to the governor and council, one copy, to the senate, two copies, to the house of delegates, four copies, to each county court, one copy, to each judge thereof, one copy, to each orphans court, one copy, to each levy court, one copy, to the land-office western shore, one copy, to the land-office eastern shore, one copy, to the treasurer of western shore, one copy, to the treasurer of eastern shore, one copy, to the executive of each state, one copy, to the house of representatives of the United States, one copy, to the senate of the United States, one copy, to the secretary of state, one copy, to every college or academy in this state, one copy, to the editor, one copy, to each member of this general assembly, one copy, to the clerk of the senate, one copy, to assistant clerk of senate, one copy, to the clerk of house of delegates, one copy, to assistant clerk of house of delegates, one copy. RESOLVED, That the laws for the chancery court, court of appeals, general courts, county courts, orphans courts, land-offices, the governor and council, the senate and the house of delegates, be marked in the side for their use respectively, and that those for the several states, for congress, and for the secretary of state, be handsomely bound in calf-skin, and marked for their use respectively. RESOLVED, That the treasurer be and he is hereby directed to advance to William Kilty the sum of two thousand dollars in part of the compensation to be allowed for the whole work. By order, W. HARWOOD, clk. and discharged from the payment of seventeen pounds six shillings and nine-pence, being the valuation money of certain improvements by him made on a parcel of vacant land in the county aforesaid, and for which the said George Twilly obtained a warrant of resurvey from the land-office on the eastern shore. By order, W. HARWOOD, clk. his order, the sum of thirty-three pounds nine shillings and six-pence, being an over payment for confiscated property, with interest thereon from the fifteenth day of June, seventeen hundred and eighty-five. By order, W. HARWOOD, clk. And also the following message: WE wish not to protract the session by any unnecessary delay, but the private and public business now on the table cannot, in our opinion, be act on with justice to our constituents so as to close at the day proposed by you; our exertions shall not be wanting to accomplish the business as early as possible, which we flatter ourselves may be effected by Saturday the fourth of January, but we fear not sooner. By order, W. HARWOOD, clk. Which bills, resolutions and message, were severally read, and the bills and resolutions ordered to lie on the table. The resolutions respecting the laws of this state compiling by William Kilty were read the second time by especial order and dissented from. The bill, entitled, A supplement to the act, entitled, An act for the regulation of officers fees, was read the second time by especial order and will not pass. The bill, entitled, An act to lay out and open a road in Cæcil county from Archibald Dysart's towards Hugh Ramsay's tavern, was read the second time and will not pass. The resolution in favour of George Twilly, senior, was read the second time by especial order and assented to. M O N D A Y, December 30, 1799. Mr. Goldsborough.
