    On motion, Leave given to bring in a bill to lay out, alter and confirm, certain roads in Allegany
county.  ORDERED, That Mr. Perry, Mr. Beall and Mr. Rice, be a committee to prepare
and bring in the same.
    Mr. Sappington, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act to authorise
a lottery in Frederick-town, in Frederick county; which was read, and referred to the
next session of assembly.
    On motion, the question was put, That the house reconsider the bill to repeal an act, entitled,
An act respecting certificates of surveys made on the eastern shore, and for other purposes?  The
yeas and nays being required, appeared as follow:

resolution therein contained assented to.
    On the second reading of the report on the representation of Frederick Green and William
Kilty, the question was put, That two thousand dollars be advanced to William Kilty as a part
of the compensation to be allowed him for compiling the laws of Maryland?  The yeas and

    THE committee to whom was referred the petition of Rebecca Dorsey, of Baltimore county,
report, that they have taken the same into consideration, and are of opinion that the prayer contained
in said petition ought not to be granted.

    On motion, the question was put, That the following resolution be referred tot he first day of
June next, viz.  RESOLVED, That this house will sit the remainder of the session, for the dispatch
