the following report:
P O S T M E R I D I E M. The bill to change the name of Clement Holliday Waring to the name of Clement Holliday, was read the second time by especial order, and passed. The report on the petition of James Frazier was read the second time, and the resolution therein contained rejected. Mr. J. Buchanan, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act to authorise the register of the land-office to correct the patent therein mentioned; which was read the first and second time by especial order, and passed. Mr. Shriver has leave of absence. Mr. Quynn, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act relating to certain public roads in Anne-Arundel county; which was read the first time and ordered to lie on the table. The supplement to the act, entitled, An act for the more effectual collection of the county charges in Allegany county, was read the second time by especial order and passed. The report on the petition of Anne Gross was read the second time, and the question put, That the house concur therewith? Resolved in the affirmative. RESOLVED, That William Kilty include in the edition of the laws which he is now compiling under the resolutions of the last general assembly, and agreeably thereto, the acts passed during the present session. A memorial from John Gassaway, register of wills of Anne-Arundel county, stating, that several books in his office are much defaced, and will require transcribing, was preferred, read, and referred to Mr. Hall, Mr. Key, Mr. McPherson, Mr. Edmondson and Mr. Duckett, to consider and report thereon. Mr. Street, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act to repeal an act, entitled, An act to prevent the going at large of geese and swine in the town of Havre-de-Grace, in Harford county, passed at November session, seventeen hundred and ninety-eight; which was read the first and second time by especial order, and passed. The report on the petition of Jesse Jarrett was read the second time, concurred with, and leave given to bring in a bill pursuant thereto. ORDERED, That the committee appointed on the said petition prepare and bring in the same. Mr. Bond, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act to make valid a certificate of land therein mentioned; which was read the first time and ordered to lie on the table.
