by law, or as required by the lease, as the case may be, has
been given by the owner of the leasehold estate, and such
other facts as may be necessary to properly present the matter
to the court, and all such petitions shall be sworn to by the
guardian.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Transfer of a
bequest.
|
AN ACT to sanction the transfer of a bequest in the last will
and testament of Dr. John Gunby, late of Worcester county,
deceased, by the trustees or committee of the Makennie
Memorial Church, of Worcester county, to the trustees or
committee of the Gunby Presbyterian Church, of Worcester
county, and to make valid said bequest.

Preamble.
|
WHEREAS Dr. John Gunby, late of Worcester county,
deceased, did by his last will and testament, duly probated in
the Orphans' Court of said county, make a bequest of four
thousand dollars to the Gunby Presbyterian Church, and
WHEREAS because the said Gunby Presbyterian Church had
no duly authorized officers to receive such bequest, it was
placed in the control of the trustees or committee of the
Makenzie Memorial Church, of Worcester county, and
WHEREAS the said trustees or committee of the Makenzie
Memorial Church have by their duly authorized officers con-
sented to a transfer of said bequest to the trustees or committee
of the Gunby Presbyterian Church.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the trustees or committee of the Makenzie Memorial
Church are hereby authorized and directed to transfer to the
trustees or committee of the Gunby Presbyterian Church, of
Worcester county, the sum of four thousand dollars, being a
bequest by Dr. John Gunby, late of Worcester county, de-
ceased, which is hereby sanctioned, confirmed and made valid,
and the said trustees and committee of said Gunby Presby-
terian Church be and they are hereby authorized and empow-
ered to receive the said bequest and hold the same subject to
the provisions of said last will and testament.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
