CHAPTER 544.
AN ACT to prevent the destruction of trout in the Castleman
River and all its inlets.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That no person or persons, corporation or corporations
shall float saw-dust in the Castleman river or in any streams
that flow into the Castleman river. Any person or persons,
corporation or corporations who shall float saw-dust in the
Castleman river and the streams that flow into the Castleman
river shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon con-
viction thereof shall be fined two hundred dollars, or shall be
sentenced to imprisonment in the House of Correction for one
year, or both, in the discretion of the court.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 545.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to defray the
expenses of a Joint Committee to define and establish the
boundary line between the State of Maryland and the State
of Virginia, along the Potomac River.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to draw his warrant upon the
Treasurer in favor of the chairman of the joint committee
upon proper vouchers to be submitted to the Comptroller to
defray the expenses incurred in pursuance of the duties
imposed by Joint Resolution No. 9 of the General Assembly
of nineteen hundred, and the sum of seven hundred and fifty
dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby
appropriated for such purpose.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 546.
AN ACT to require all Turnpike Companies or other toll
roads to keep a bright light thrown upon their toll bars or
gates when down during any hours of darkness.
