painted with letters and figures as to indicate the direction of
and distance to the nearest city, town, village, postoffice or
other places of importance in said county; said boards shall be
placed at the intersection of all county roads in said county,
and in a conspicuous place, upon substantial posts; said
boards shall be not less than six inches broad, and not less
than two feet long.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That after the erection of said
boards, they shall be repaired, renewed and maintained by
the County Commissioners of said county.

Penalty for
defacing, etc.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That any person who shall
deface, tear down or destroy any of said boards or posts
maliciously shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon
indictment and conviction shall be fined a sum not exceeding
ten dollars, and in default of the payment of said fine and
costs of prosecution shall be confined in the county jail for a
period not exceeding ten days.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to declare the sanction of the General Assembly of
Maryland to the grant of a parcel of land described in a
deed from Sarah J. Norris to the trustees of Mount Zion
Methodist Episcopal Church of Harford County, dated the
3rd day of January, 1900, and recorded among the Land
Records of Harford County, in Liber W. S. E., No. 98,
folio 378.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the 'General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sanction and consent of the General Assembly
of Maryland be and the same is hereby declared and given to
the grant of a parcel of land described in a deed from Sarah J.
Norris to the trustees of Mount Zion Methodist Episcopal
Church of Harford County, dated the 3rd day of January,
1900, and recorded among the Land Records of Harford
County, in Liber W. S. F., No. 98, folio 378.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
