merchandise are to be offered at less than the usual market
price; provided, that nothing in this section shall apply to
sales made by administrators, trustees, assignees or receivers,
acting under an order of a court of law or equity.

License fees.

204D. The sum to be paid for any licenses under any ordi-
nance or ordinances, passed under any of the three preceding
sections, shall not exceed fifty dollars a day, and the president
and Commissioners of Prince Anne shall have power to impose
fines, penalties and forfeitures for the breach of any ordinance
or ordinances passed under any of the three preceding sec-
tions.

SEC. 2. And be -it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 532.
AN ACT to regulate the manufacture, sale and exchange of
condensed or preserved milk, to follow Section 138E, Article
27, Public General Laws, and to be designated as Section
138F.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the following Section be and the same is hereby
added to Article 27, Public General Laws, to follow Section
138D, and to be designated as Section I38E.

138F. And be it further enacted, That no condensed or pre-
served milk shall be manufactured, sold or exchanged, or
offered or exposed for sale, or exchange unless the same be
manufactured from or out of pure, clean, healthy, fresh,
unadulterated and wholesome milk, from which the cream has
not been removed either wholly or in part, or unless the pro-
portion of milk solids of same shall be in quantity the equiva-
lent of twelve and fifty one-hundredths per centum of milk
solids in crude milk, and of which milk solids three and fifty
one-hundredths per centum shall be butter fats. No person
shall manufacture, sell or exchange, or offer or expose for sale
or exchange, any condensed or preserved milk unless the same
be put up, packed or contained in packages with the name of

stamped thereon. Whoever by himself or another violates
any of the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined not less than
