CHAPTER 468.
AN ACT to add an additional section to Section forty-four-
of Article 14 of Volume two of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title "Howard County," sub-title "County Commis-
sioners and "County Collector," to be known and desig-
nated as Section 44F.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That an additional section be added to Section forty-
four of Article 14 of Volume two of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Howard County," sub-title "County
Commissioners" and "County Collectors," to be known as
Section 44F and to follow immediately after Section 44E-

Sec. 44F. Be it enacted, That the Board of County Com-
missioners of Howard County shall appoint, at their first
meeting in May of each and every year hereafter, an assessor
from each election district of Howard County, who shall con-
tinue to hold said office for one year from his appointment; and
it shall be the duty of said assessors to inform themselves by all
lawful means of all property, stocks or investments in their
respective election districts in said county liable to taxation
and not included in the list upon the books of the County
Commissioners; and they shall value the same at the full cash
value thereof, and make return thereof to the County Com-
missioners on or before the first day of March in each and
every year; and the County Commisioners shall allow said
assessors so appointed as compensation thereof one dollar and
fifty cents for every thousand dollars' worth of property so
returned.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That three-fifths of all the members of the two Houses
concurring, that the following section be and the same is
hereby proposed as an amendment to the Constitution of this
State, and if adopted by the legal and qualified voters thereof,
