Proportion of
profit.
|
business, enterprise, undertaking; or underwriting shall be
entitled, upon completion or winding up thereof, to his por-
tion of the profit thereof, less expenses, and a reasonable
compensation to the company for its services, but any such
stockholder so assuming a portion of any business, enterprise,
undertaking or underwriting, shall be severally liable to the
company, and to the persons to whom the company may be
obligated on account thereof, for the part, and that part only,
of any loss or obligation growing out of the portion so assumed
by him.

Right lo
repeal.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That the General Assem-
bly reserves the right to repeal, alter or amend this Act at its
pleasure.
SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That said body corporate
is hereby made subject to the provisions of each Chapters
one hundred and nine and two hundred and seventy-nine of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the
January Session of eighteen hundred and ninety-two, and to
all amendments and supplements thereto.
SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 446.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 56 of the Code of
Public General Laws, title "License," to follow Section
81B, and to be designated as Section 81C.

License.

WHEREAS, As the money derived from the liquor license in
the City of Baltimore is divided in the proportion of three-
fourths to the City of Baltimore and one-fourth to the State,
and

WHEREAS, Chapter two hundred and forty-six of the Acts
of eighteen hundred and ninety-eight required the clubs,
societies and associations in the City of Baltimore selling
intoxicating liquor to take out licenses as provided in said
Act, and the revenue so derived should be divided in the
above proportions; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That one new section be and the same is hereby added
to Article 56 of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"License," to follow Section 81B, the said Section 81B having
been added to Article 56 of the Code by Chapter two hundred
