SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That should the Governor select
and appoint some other person than the said L. Allison Wil-
mer, agent, as aforesaid, the agent so selected and appointed
shall receive not more than ten per centum, as may be agreed
by and between the Governor and said agent of the amount
collected and recovered by said agent, to be paid by the Treas-
urer on the warrant of the Comptroller, as any amount may
be collected and recovered, and turned into the treasury.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 434.
AN ACT to encourage the establishment and development
of manufactures and manufacturing industries in Wicomico
County.

Compensation
to other agent.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Wicomico
County be and they are hereby authorized and empowered,
whenever it shall seem expedient for the encouragement of
the establishment of manufactures and manufacturing indus-
tries in said county, to provide by ordinance for the exemp-
tion from taxation for county purposes for any certain period
of time, in their discretion deemed advisable, any lands and
buildings thereon in said county used by such manufacturers
in the usual conduct of and for the usual purposes of their
manufacturing business, and any mechanical tools or imple-
ments, whether worked by hand or steam, or other motive
power machinery, manufacturing apparatus or engine owned
by any individual firm or corporation in said county and
properly subject to valuation and taxation therein, which
said tools, implements, machinery, apparatus or engine shall
be actually employed and used in the business of manufac-
turing in said county.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 435.
AN ACT to repeal Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 of Article
92 of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Terrapins —
Diamond Back and Salt Water," and re-enact the same
with amendments.
