Authority
to copy
all marriage
certificates
from and to a
certain time.

Cost of.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Clerk of the Circuit Court for St. Mary's County
be and he is hereby authorized and directed to copy in a well-
bound book, to be furnished for that purpose by the County
Commissioners, all marriage certificates and records of mar-
riage, now of record in said office from A. D. 1794 to A. D.
1864, both inclusive; the said record to be arranged according
to date and in alphabetical order, the amount thereof to be
levied and paid by the County Commissioners of said county;
provided, that the cost of said work shall not exceed the sum
of fifty dollars.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 376.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
two of Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"St. Mary's County," sub-title "Almshouse."

Almshouse.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted bv the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section two of Article 19 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "St. Mary's County," sub-title "Alms-
house," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, so as to read as follows:

Maintenance
and support
of paupers and
cost.

2. The County Commissioners may annually at their first
regular meeting in June, or as soon thereafter as practicable,
'let said almshouse and other property to such person as they
may deem fit, and the said Commissioners may, in their dis-
cretion, provide for the maintenance and support of such
paupers as may be inmates of said almshouse, or those who
thereafter may be committed thereto, at a cost "not exceeding
seventy-five dollars each per annum.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 7, 1900.

one hundred and fifty -five of Article 2, of the Public Local
