the oyster fund, for the sum of thirty-five thousand dollars,
or so much thereof as may be necessary, to be applied to the
payment of salaries and expenses of the oyster police force
from October first, eighteen hundred and ninety-nine, to
October first, nineteen hundred.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 60.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commission-
ers of Kent County to change the public landing at Buck
Neck, in Kent county, and to sell, exchange or lease, as
they may deem proper, the landing now owned by the
county at said Buck Neck.

WHEREAS, Many citizens and taxpayers of Kent county
have petitioned the Board of County Commissioners of Kent
County to exchange the present public landing at Buck Neck
for the landing now belonging to the Tolchester Beach
Improvement Company of Kent County at said Buck Neck
as being to the public advantage, but to effect such a change
the authority of the General Assembly of Maryland is neces-
sary thereto; now, therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Kent County are
hereby authorized and empowered to dispose of by sale, lease
or exchange the public landing belonging to said county at
Buck Neck, in said county, and to purchase or take in
exchange therefor the landing now owned by the Tolchester
Beach Improvement Company of Kent County at said Buck
Neck.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
