JOHN WALTER SMITH, ESQ., GOVERNOR.

Calveft County, and for the payment of the bonds and the
interest thereon in conformity to the provisions of this Act,
and discharge all other duties herein imposed upon him; and
for the purpose of making said disbursements he shall attend
at the court house during the sessions of the Circuit Court;
he shall keep a complete set of books showing the receipt of
all moneys received by him as treasurer for the purposes of
this Act and the disbursements of the same, and he shall, at
the first meeting of the Board of County Commissioners after
each term of the Circuit Court for said county, make a full
and detailed report, and exhibit to the said board his receipt
and disbursements, together with his vouchers therefor; and
on failure so to do for sixty days after the adjournment of
said court, he shall be subjected to the penalties prescribed
in Section two of this Act.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That all Acts or parts of Acts
inconsistent with the provisions of this Act be and the same
so far as thus inconsistent are hereby repealed.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to add an additional section to Article 27 of the Code
of Public General Laws, entitled "Crimes and Punish-
ments," to come in after Section two hundred and eight, sub-
title ''Minors, Care and Protection of," and to be known as
Section 208 A.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That any person having in his custody or control a child
under the age of fourteen years, who shall in any way dispose
of it with a view to its being employed as an acrobat, or a gym-
nast, or a contortionist, or a circus rider, or a rope walker, or in
any exhibition of like dangerous character, or as a beggar or
mendicant, or street singer, or street musician; or any person
who shall take, receive, hire, employ, use, exhibit or have in
custody any child under the age last named for any of the pur-
poses herein enumerated shall be deemed guilty of a misde-

meanor, and when convicted thereof shall be subject to punish-
ment by fine of not more than one hundred dollars, or by
imprisonment for a term not exceeding ninety days in jail, or
both.
