CHAPTER 321.
AN ACT to incorporate the Consumers' Electric Light, Gas,
Heat and Power Company of Frederick County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Charles N. Hann, Aaron Rosenstock, Jacob Rosen-
stock, J. Roger McSherry and Charles N. Hargett, all resi-
dents of the State of Maryland, and their associates, successors
and assigns, be and they are hereby created and made a body
corporate under and by the name and style of the Consumers'
Electric Light, Gas, Heat and Power Company of Frederick
County, and by that name shall have perpetual succession,
and shall be capable to sue and be sued, complain or defend
in any court of law or equity, to make and use a common
sea-1 and alter the same at pleasure, to receive and make deeds

and contracts, to acquire by purchase or in other manner,
take and receive, hold, use, employ, manage, mortgage, dis-
pose of, or in any manner not inconsistent with law, deal
in any property real, personal or mixed, and situate in or out
of this State, which may be necessary or proper to enable said
corporation to carry out its operations or fulfill the purposes
named in this Act, and generally to do every other act or
thing not inconsistent with law, which may be necessay, be
proper to promote the objects, designs and purposes for which
this corporation is formed, which are hereby declared to be
for the purposes of manufacturing and selling electricity for
illuminating purposes, heat, power, and for all other purposes
to which electricity or magnetism may be applied; to furnish
such quantities of electricity and electrical power as may be
required or desired at any point in Frederick County, Mary-
land; to contract for and furnish electric lights for lighting
lights, for lighting streets, public and private buildings in
any city, town or village in Frederick County, whether
incorporate or not, and for motive power and other purposes;

and said corporation is hereby authorized and empowered to
lay, purchase and construct, string or build pole lines and
conductors and conduits under, along or upon or over the
streets, squares, lanes, alleys, roads or ways whatsoever in
any city, town or village in Frederick County, whether incor-
porated or not, and to string wires and erect pole lines, con-
ductors and conduits under, along, upon or over the roadways,
streets, squares, lanes and alleys of any city, town or village
in said county, whether incorporated or not, so as to furnish
electrical current to any point in said Frederick County, and
over, under and along private property in any of said cities,
towns or villages in said county, the consent of the owner
