Right to
redeem shares
of stock, etc.

the dairy business shall have the right to become subscribers
to the capital stock and shareholders of the said United Milk
Producers' Association of Baltimore City, and that said com-
pany shall have the right at any time to redeem at par any
shares of stock which may pass into the hands of or become
the property and estate of any person or corporation not
entitled to hold the same under the limitations and restric-
tions as may be by the by-laws of said corporation from time
to time provided, and to reissue the said shares at not less
than the par value thereof, and all regulations made by the
by-laws of the said United Milk Producers' Association of
Baltimore City, in pursuance of the power and authority
hereby in said corporation vested, shall be as valid and
effectual for all purposes as if the same were particularly
incorporated in this Act.

Inspection of
milk or dairy
products.

SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That said United Milk Pro-
ducers' Association of Baltimore City shall have the right by
its by-laws to provide for the inspection and examination of
any milk or dairy products whatsoever shipped to it by any
of its shareholders, and for the inspection and examination of
the dairies of any of its shareholders, and to provide such
rules, regulations and conditions governing the management
and care of milch cattle owned by its shareholders as may to
said United Milk Producers' Association of Baltimore City
seem necessary and proper to insure the delivery of pure,
clean and wholesome dairy products to it; provided, however,
that nothing contained in this section of this Act shall be
construed to authorize the making of rules or regulations
inconsistent with any State law.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 296.
AN ACT to authorize the appointment of an agent or agents
to prosecute the claims of the State of Maryland against the
Government of the United States, and to provide the method
of his compensation.
