estate of the late William J. Blunt, both real and personal, had
been converted into cash and disposed of so that no part of
said property could be reached nor nothing be made out of
said co-sureties.

Relief from
surety bond.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That James H. Dodd, one of the sureties upon the bonds
of Willian J. Blunt, late collector of State Taxes for the years
1886 and 1887, his legal representatives, h is heirs, devises and
legatees, shall be relieved from any and all liability to the
State for and on account of his suretyship for said Blunt on
any and ail the official bonds given by him as Collector of
State Taxes, and all suits against him at law or in equity
shall be entered dismissed and satisfied.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 260.
AN ACT to authorize and. empower the Trustees of the Poor
of Worcester County to sell and convey certain real estate
in said county, called Rochester and Purnells Outlet, and
upon which is now located the County Alms House.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Trustees of the Poor of Worcester County be
and they are hereby authorized and empowered to sell and
dispose of a certain tract of land in said county, known and
called by the name of Rochester and Purnells Outlet, and
upon which is at present located the County Alms House,
and be a good and sufficient deed or deeds to grant and con-
vey the same to the purchaser or purchasers thereof.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 7, 1900.

CHAPTER 261.

AN ACT to add an additional section to Chapter fifty-two
of the Acts of eighteen hundred and ninety-six, entitled
an "Act to incorporate the United States Fidelity and
Guaranty Company."
