notify the owners thereof that unless the license fee and one
dollar additional for costs shall be paid within twenty-four
hours, the same will be sold to pay said fees or killed, and
said constables shall be entitled to receive one-half of the
license fees collected, by levy and execution, and the other
half shall be paid to the School Board of said county for
school purposes.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 221.
AN ACT to enable the Enoch Pratt Free Library of Balti-
more City to receive gifts, bequests, devises and convey-
ances of real or personal property for the use of said library.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Enoch Pratt Free Library of Baltimore City
is hereby empowered to receive any gifts, bequest, devise or
conveyance of real or personal property, which maybe made
to it or to its trustees, and to hold the title to said property,
and from time to time convey the same by deed or otherwise,
according to the nature thereof, to the Mayor and City Coun-
cil of Baltimore, for the use of said library, so that the title
thereto shall be vested in the said Mayor and City Council
of Baltimore, in the like manner and for the same uses as
the property mentioned in the original Act incorporating said
library, passed at the January Session, 1882, Chapter one
hundred and eighty-one, subject to the same management and
control.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 222.

Charles Co.

AN ACT to empower the County Commissioners of Charles
County to levy a sum of money to set up mile posts on the
public roads of Charles County and place hand boards at
principal crossings.
