shall be redeemed at the dates and times hereinbefore set
forth, and the powers given to the said Burgess and Commis-
sioners to levy taxes for the payment of the interest on the
said bonds and for the redemption of the same, as they shall
from time to time fall due, shall in no way be abated by this
Act, but shall be exercised by them with reference to these
new bonds in the same manner and to the same effect as
under the power given to them in said Act of eighteen hun-
dred and ninety-eight, Chapter twenty -seven.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 31.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
184 J of Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Anne Arundel County," as said section was repealed and
re-enacted by Chapter five hundred and ninety-eight of the
Acts of 1892.

Redemption
of same.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 184J of Article 2 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel County," as said section
was re-enacted by Chapter five hundred and ninety-eight of
the Acts of 1892, be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted with amendments, so as to read as follows:

184J. If, after notice and hearing, the Mayor, Counsellor and
Aldermen shall decide to grant the license prayed for, they
shall notify the applicant of such decision, who shall there-
upon pay to the collector and treasurer for said City of
Annapolis the sum of money hereinafter specified, to wit:
for a hotel, restaurant or other place in which distilled liquors
or admixture of distilled liquors containing more than fifteen
per cent, of alcohol are sold by retail, the sum of two hundred
dollars; for a hotel or restaurant or other place in which only
fermented liquor or liquors containing less than fifteen per
cent, of alcohol are sold, the sum of one hundred and fifty
dollars; for incorporated social clubs selling liquors as afore-
said only to bona fide members thereof and to the guests of such
members the sum of fifty dollars, and on producing to said
Mayor, Counsellor and Aldermen a receipt from said City
Treasurer showing the payment of the fee required for the
