rejection, in pursuance of the direction contained in Article
14, of the Constitution; and at said election the vote on said
proposed amendment shall be by ballot, and upon each ballot
there shall be written or printed the words "For the Consti-
tutional Amendment" or "Against the Constitutional Amend-
ment," as the voter shall elect, and immediately after said
election one return shall be made to the Governor of the vote
on saidproposed amendment, as directed by the said Fourteenth
Article of the Constitution.

CHAPTER 186.
AN ACT to fix, limit and determine the term of office of the
County Commissioners of Queen Anne's County that shall
be hereafter elected or appointed, perpetuating the succes-
sion to same, and repealing all laws or part of laws so far
as they are inconsistent with the provisions of this Act.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That as the term of each of the present County Com-
missioners of Queen Anne's County shall expire by limitation
of time, should each continue to fill his office so long, his
successor shall be elected to serve for the term of two years,
and until his successor shall be elected and qualified as
follows: One of said Commissioners shall be elected at the
general election in November of nineteen hundred and one
for the term of two years, and until his successor shall be
elected and qualified; two of said Commissioners shall be
elected at the general election in November, nineteen hun-
dred and three, for the term of two years and until their
sucessors shall be elected and qualified, and three of said
Commissioners shall be elected at the general election in
November of nineteen hundred and five, for the term of two
years and until their successors shall be elected and qualified,
and at the general election every two years after that of nine-
teen hundred and five. Three County Commissioners of Queen
Anne's County shall be elected for the term of two years, and
until their successors shall be elected and qualified, and in
this way and according to this plan, the succession to the
County Commissioners shall be kept up, and no Commissioner
shall hereafter be elected for a longer term than two years,
and until his successor shall be elected and qualified.
